West Ham strike late to stun Forest and ease pressure with first Premier League win

Three goals in the final 10 minutes gave West Ham a dramatic 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, piling pressure on Nuno Espírito Santo as his future at the City Ground remains uncertain.

Bowen sparks late turnaround at the City Ground

After 80 tense minutes with little to separate the sides, Jarrod Bowen produced a brilliant turn and finish in the 84th minute to break the deadlock. The goal came just days after Bowen clashed with fans following West Ham’s FA Cup exit, making his celebration all the more significant.

From there, the Hammers ran riot. Substitute Crysencio Summerville was brought down inside the box after a dazzling run, allowing Lucas Paquetá to convert from the spot in the 88th minute. Callum Wilson then sealed the win in stoppage time with a header from Diouf’s cross, completing a remarkable late surge.

Fernandes debut and Wilson’s redemption

West Ham’s record signing Mateus Fernandes, bought for €44 million from Southampton, made his debut in midfield. Though withdrawn in the 82nd minute, he watched as the substitutes transformed the match.

Wilson, guilty of missing two golden chances earlier, redeemed himself with the stoppage-time header that wrapped up the Hammers’ first league victory of the season.

Pressure mounts on Nuno as Forest stumble again

For Nottingham Forest, the defeat marks a second consecutive Premier League setback and intensifies scrutiny on Nuno Espírito Santo. With the international break looming, speculation over his job continues to grow.
