PSG finalizes Marco Asensio’s transfer to Aston Villa

Spanish forward leaves Paris permanently after falling out of club’s plans
Asensio out of PSG’s project
Marco Asensio will no longer wear the Paris Saint-Germain shirt. The Spanish forward, who was not part of Luis Enrique’s plans for the season, is set to join Aston Villa in a permanent deal. PSG had already signaled openness to his departure, and contacts from several clubs accelerated negotiations in recent weeks.
Deal with Aston Villa
According to journalist Loïc Tanzi, PSG and Villa have reached an agreement for the transfer. The 28-year-old has prioritized a move to the Premier League, where he hopes to regain protagonism.
Talks have centered on the transfer fee. Aston Villa initially offered €15 million, while PSG is pushing for closer to €20 million. Despite the gap, both sides are optimistic the deal will be finalized in the coming days.
A new chapter in England
Asensio’s arrival is seen as a boost for Unai Emery’s team, which is preparing for a season that includes commitments in both the Premier League and Europe. For PSG, his departure frees up space in the squad and helps balance the wage bill.
