PSG confirms several loans and permanent departures ahead of the 2025/26 season

Paris Saint-Germain has officially announced a wave of squad changes for the 2025/26 campaign, with several young players sent on loan across Europe and others departing permanently. The moves form part of a broader strategy to streamline the roster and open space for future signings.

Loan Moves to Portugal, Denmark and France

Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Moscardo will join Portuguese side Braga on loan, seeking regular first-team action. French full-back Yoram Zague has been sent to Copenhagen in Denmark, while Moroccan defender Naoufel El Hannach will spend the season at Montpellier in Ligue 1.

Permanent Departures

PSG also confirmed the exits of French defender Axel Tape, Portuguese goalkeeper Louis Mouquet, and French defender Vimoj Wa Mungu. Midfielder Ayman Kari has likewise left the club to continue his career away from the Parc des Princes.

Strategy Behind the Changes

Club officials say the moves are aimed at giving young talents valuable competitive experience while keeping the squad balanced for both Ligue 1 and Champions League commitments. The temporary departures of promising players like Moscardo and Kari are seen as opportunities for development ahead of a potential return.

Transfer Window Still Open

With the European transfer market running until the end of August, PSG could yet sanction more departures and bring in reinforcements before the deadline.

Super Cup Test Ahead

The reigning Ligue 1 champions will next face Tottenham Hotspur this Thursday, August 13, in Udine, Italy, in the UEFA Super Cup final the curtain-raiser to the European season between the Champions League and Europa League title holders.
