Newcastle United begin talks with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani after Šeško rejects

Newcastle United have officially opened concrete negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for French striker Randal Kolo Muani, placing him at the top of their attacking wish list this transfer window. The move comes after Benjamin Šeško chose to join Manchester United, prompting Newcastle to accelerate their approach for the PSG forward, according to Sky Sports via Bola na Rede.

Kolo Muani’s PSG Journey

The 25-year-old joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 for a fee of around €90 million and registered 9 goals in 31 appearances during the 2024/25 season. His versatility allowed him to play both as a central striker and on the wings, but competition for places under Luis Enrique has limited his consistency.

PSG Open to Negotiations — But With Conditions

While PSG are willing to listen to offers, any deal would need to meet their financial expectations and align with their squad strategy for the season. The Ligue 1 champions are keen to maintain depth across all competitions, especially the Champions League, and will only sanction departures that do not weaken the team’s structure.

Newcastle’s Other Options

Reports suggest Newcastle have also considered Gonçalo Ramos (PSG), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), and Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) as potential alternatives. Earlier links to Samu Aghehowa (FC Porto) and Vangelis Pavlidis appear to have cooled as focus shifts firmly towards Kolo Muani.
