Manchester United receives ultimatum from Real Betis for Antony and may negotiate with the Brazilian striker

Real Betis has sent its final offer to Manchester United to secure Antony on loan, with a decision from the English club expected in the coming hours. The Brazilian winger, who already played for the Spanish side last season, is pushing for a return.
Betis makes last move
According to El Desmarque, Betis proposed a season-long loan with a renegotiation option in 2026. The Andalusian club is willing to cover a large part of Antony’s wages, while the player himself has agreed to take a salary cut to make the move possible.
Antony’s desire to return
The 24-year-old forward has made it clear that his priority is to wear the Betis shirt again. He believes that performing in La Liga could help him re-enter the conversation for a place in the Brazilian national team.
Despite interest from other clubs, Antony and his agents have informed Manchester United of his preference to return to Spain. Coach Manuel Pellegrini has also been a strong supporter of the deal, pressing the club to accelerate negotiations.
United prefers a sale
At Old Trafford, United’s board would rather pursue a permanent transfer to balance the books. However, the Brazilian’s stance and Betis’ persistence could shift the decision toward a loan arrangement.
A resolution is expected within days, with optimism growing in Seville that Antony will be announced as a Betis reinforcement before the transfer window closes.
