Manchester United loses patience with Antony’s situation and gives the striker an ultimatum

Manchester United has reportedly grown impatient over the unresolved future of Brazilian winger Antony, with club officials delivering a clear message: leave this transfer window or face being sidelined until January.

According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, United has informed the 24-year-old’s representatives that he is not in new manager Ruben Amorim’s plans for the 2025/26 season. Despite a strong loan spell at Real Betis earlier this year, no agreement has been reached for a permanent move.

Exit Required Before Deadline

The ultimatum comes as United continues to reshape its attack. The club has already signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Šeško, the latter unveiled to fans last weekend. With squad space and wage budget under pressure, Antony’s departure is now a priority, alongside that of Jadon Sancho currently linked with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

If Antony remains beyond the summer transfer deadline, he risks being excluded from competitive action until at least January’s transfer window.

Interest From Saudi Arabia and Europe

Antony has drawn interest from multiple clubs, including Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, home to Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the left-footed winger is said to prefer staying in Europe’s top leagues.

Meanwhile, United may be lining up another Brazilian reinforcement. Reports in recent days suggest the club is monitoring Ricardo Mathias, a promising young striker from Internacional.

With the transfer deadline looming, the coming weeks could be decisive in shaping both Antony’s career and United’s final squad for the new season.
