Manchester United agrees to sell Garnacho to Chelsea, but demands nearly €46 million

Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Manchester United appears to be nearing its conclusion. The 20-year-old Argentine winger is reportedly out of manager Ruben Amorim’s plans for the upcoming European season, and the club is open to selling him during the current transfer window.

According to The Guardian and Fichajes, Chelsea have emerged as the main contender for his signature, but United have made their stance clear  any deal will require a fee of around €46 million (approximately R$291 million). Such a figure would make Garnacho one of the club’s most lucrative sales in recent years.

Squad Overhaul at Old Trafford

Manchester United are preparing a major squad revamp, with particular focus on their attacking options. This summer, the club has already secured Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, both proven performers in the Premier League. They are also close to finalising the signing of prolific striker Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig in a deal valued at around R$540 million.

Other Departures Expected

Garnacho is not the only high-profile name set to leave. Ruben Amorim has also decided against keeping Antony and Jadon Sancho, while Marcus Rashford has already completed a move to Barcelona.

Antony is currently leaning towards staying with Real Betis after a recent loan spell, while Sancho returning from a disappointing loan at Chelsea is still attracting interest from several European clubs. Meanwhile, Portuguese side Benfica have also shown interest in Antony, with United pushing for a permanent transfer rather than another loan.

With the transfer window still open, developments around Garnacho and his teammates are expected to accelerate in the coming days as United reshape their squad for the season ahead.
