Fulham target Palmeiras striker Flaco López as Rodrigo Muniz nears move to Atalanta

Fulham are eyeing Palmeiras striker Flaco López as a potential replacement for Rodrigo Muniz, who is close to joining Atalanta. The Premier League side is looking for a centre-forward capable of delivering an immediate impact, and the 24-year-old Argentine has caught their attention despite being a regular substitute under Abel Ferreira.
Muniz Departure Could Open Door
The information was revealed by reporter Diego Firmino in collaboration with TV Espírito de Porco. While Palmeiras are not planning to negotiate Flaco’s exit, Muniz’s potential transfer to Italy would leave a key gap in Marco Silva’s squad one Fulham believe the Argentine could fill.
Despite starting most matches on the bench, Flaco has been decisive this season, recording 13 goals and 4 assists in 39 appearances. His efficiency in limited minutes has made him one of Verdão’s most impactful offensive weapons.
Competition From Monterrey
Fulham may not have a clear path to securing the striker. Monterrey have already submitted an official $12 million bid (around R$65 million), which Palmeiras promptly rejected. The club’s hierarchy insists they will only consider offers significantly above that figure, citing the difficulty of finding an adequate replacement in the current market.
Brazilian Market Heats Up With Premier League Links
Fulham’s interest in Flaco López is part of a broader wave of Premier League–Brazil transfer activity. Palmeiras are reportedly monitoring Brighton’s Julio Enciso and have finalised the signing of Carlos Miguel from Nottingham Forest.
Elsewhere, Cruzeiro are tracking Crystal Palace’s Matheus França and are in talks to bring Luis Sinisterra from Bournemouth.
