Christensen could swap Barcelona for Milan as Allegri seeks defensive reinforcement

Andreas Christensen may be on his way out of Barcelona, with AC Milan showing strong interest in the Danish defender. According to Pietro Balzaro Prota, the Rossoneri are considering investing in the 29-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order under Hansi Flick at Camp Nou.

Transfer Talks and Valuation

No formal offer has yet been made, but Christensen is currently valued at around €12 million (R$75 million). Barcelona president Joan Laporta is expected to ask for a similar figure if negotiations move forward, as the club looks to balance its books.

Why Allegri Wants Christensen

At Milan, Massimiliano Allegri sees Christensen as an affordable and experienced option. With only four central defenders currently available, the coach believes the Dane fits the “good and cheap” profile that can strengthen his backline.
Christensen also offers versatility, as he can play both as a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.

Fans Split on the Move

On social media, Milan fans expressed mixed reactions. While some highlighted Christensen’s injury history, others pointed out his aerial strength and leadership. One supporter noted:
“He gets injured easily, but in the air he’s solid. If the price is low, it’s worth it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even consider him.”

Barcelona’s Dilemma

Despite his struggles, Christensen recently convinced Hansi Flick he could remain useful if fully fit. The club even considered renewing his contract, signaling trust in the Danish international.
However, Milan’s interest may change that scenario. With competition from Pau Cubarsí and Ronald Araújo limiting his minutes, Barcelona could decide to cash in while there’s still a market for him.
