Chelsea anticipates sale of Chukwuemeka to Borussia Dortmund for €20 million; Anselmino is also expected to join him

Chelsea is close to completing two more departures this week, with Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino on their way to Borussia Dortmund.
Chukwuemeka transfer near completion
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between Chelsea and Dortmund are at an advanced stage. The English club is demanding €20 million (R$126 million) plus bonuses and a release clause for Carney Chukwuemeka.
A decisive meeting is scheduled for Friday (22) to finalize the operation. The 20-year-old midfielder has already approved the move to Germany and is expected to reinforce Dortmund’s squad immediately.
Aaron Anselmino moves on loan
Alongside Chukwuemeka, young Argentine defender Aaron Anselmino will also join Borussia Dortmund. His move, however, will be a loan without a purchase option, designed to provide him with European experience before returning to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Chelsea’s board views the loan as an opportunity for Anselmino to develop and compete at a higher level, preparing him for future contention within the squad. The player has reportedly given the green light to the transfer.
Chelsea’s summer exits continue
The Blues, who are also in talks to sell Christopher Nkunku, continue to reshape their roster under Enzo Maresca. With a focus on balancing young talents and experienced signings, Chelsea is streamlining the squad while preparing for further arrivals in the final days of the transfer window.
