Manchester United have announced the signing of Fridolina Rolfö, adding experience and firepower to their women’s team as they prepare for the Women’s Super League and Champions League campaigns. The 31-year-old Swedish forward arrives as a free agent after failing to agree a renewal with Barcelona.
From Barcelona Struggles to a Fresh Start
Rolfö endured a challenging 2024/25 season, scoring just six goals in 37 matches for Barcelona — a sharp contrast to her standout debut year with the club in 2021/22. Determined to bounce back, she sees United as the perfect stage to reclaim her best form and become one of the team’s key attacking threats.

Rolfö began her career at IFK Fjaras in Sweden before rising to prominence at Linköping FC, which led to her move to Bayern Munich in 2016. After three seasons in Germany, she joined Wolfsburg, then switched to Barcelona in 2021.
