Bruno Fernandes seals dramatic win as Manchester United beat Burnley 3-2 in Premier League

Manchester United left it late but secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday (30), with captain Bruno Fernandes scoring a stoppage-time penalty to decide the game.

Red Devils edge five-goal thriller

United opened the scoring in the 26th minute when a Bruno Fernandes set piece caused chaos in the box and Josh Cullen turned the rebound into his own net. Burnley equalized early in the second half through Foster, but moments later Bryan Mbeumo restored United’s lead.

The visitors hit back again in the 67th minute when Jaidon Anthony pounced on a rebound to make it 2-2. Just when it seemed the points would be shared, Amad Diallo was fouled inside the area deep in injury time. Bruno Fernandes converted the resulting penalty to give United their first home win of the season.

Table situation

With the victory, Manchester United climbed to ninth place in the Premier League standings, now on four points. Burnley, who fought bravely at Old Trafford, remain in 11th with three points.
