Arsenal wants €15 million to confirm sale of Oleksandr Zinchenko to Fenerbahçe

Oleksandr Zinchenko is on the verge of leaving Arsenal after losing his place to rising star Myles Lewis-Skelly, with Fenerbahçe pushing to finalise a €15 million deal.

The 27-year-old Ukrainian left-back has reportedly asked to leave Emirates Stadium following reduced playing time under Mikel Arteta. According to journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu, Fenerbahçe have submitted an official offer and talks are advancing quickly. While the bid’s exact value has not been disclosed, it is expected to meet Arsenal’s €15 million asking price.

Rise of Myles Lewis-Skelly Ends Zinchenko’s Run

Zinchenko began the season as a starter but saw his position threatened after injury opened the door for new signing Riccardo Calafiori. When Calafiori also suffered setbacks, Arteta turned to academy product Myles Lewis-Skelly, who seized his chance with 29 appearances, 3 goals and 2 assists.

Lewis-Skelly’s breakthrough, along with Calafiori’s presence, has made Zinchenko surplus to requirements despite his previous importance to the squad.

Arsenal’s Veteran Clear-Out Continues

The North London side is also set to part ways with Leandro Trossard, who is attracting interest from Galatasaray Fenerbahçe’s fiercest rival. The Belgian forward was key last season but is expected to be replaced as Arteta prioritises young talents like Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.

If both moves materialise, the veterans could become central figures in the next Intercontinental Derby, adding extra spice to one of Turkey’s biggest rivalries.
