Striker Vitinho will stay at Internacional through at least June 2026 after FIFA extended regulations allowing foreign players in Ukraine and Russia to suspend their contracts unilaterally. The rule, initially introduced in 2022 due to the conflict between the two countries, has now been extended for another year and will remain in force until June 30, 2026.

Vitinho’s contract with Dynamo Kyiv expires in a year, allowing him to stay at Internacional without any additional transfer costs once his current loan concludes.

Future Plans and Contract

Vitinho, who wears the number 28 shirt for Internacional, is currently recovering from a fractured left elbow but remains in the club’s plans for the second half of the Brazilian Championship as well as the knockout rounds of both the Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores.

The striker, who arrived on a six-month loan, quickly won over fans by scoring five goals during the Campeonato Gaúcho. Internacional’s management and coaching staff are pleased with his performances and are working to extend his contract until June 2026.

In addition, Vitinho would be free to sign a pre-contract with Internacional starting in December. Since his agreement with Dynamo Kyiv officially ends on June 30, 2026, that scenario would allow the club to keep him without paying a transfer fee — a favorable outcome for both the player and Internacional.
