In addition to Lewandowski, Barcelona is also considering negotiating with full-back Héctor Fort

Young right-back could leave despite desire to stay as club eyes €10M deal

Barcelona are considering the sale of young full-back Héctor Fort, alongside ongoing speculation around Robert Lewandowski’s future. The club’s board is actively evaluating offers for several squad members as they reshape the team under new head coach Hansi Flick.

According to journalist Santi Ovalle of Cadena SER, the Catalan side is open to negotiating Fort’s transfer for a fee in the range of €6 million to €10 million. The potential deal could bring in a notable profit for Barça, who are seeking financial relief and better balance within the roster.

Fort not eager to leave Camp Nou

Despite being listed as a potential departure, 18-year-old Héctor Fort has no intention of leaving the club, sources close to the player confirmed. The defender, who made 20 appearances for the first team last season, is hopeful of earning more opportunities, even though competition has intensified.

Jules Koundé remains the first-choice right-back, and manager Flick now considers Eric García a strong backup option. This shift in the pecking order puts Fort’s role in jeopardy for the upcoming campaign.

Contract runs until 2026

Fort’s contract at Barcelona is valid through June 2026 and reportedly includes a valuation clause set at €10 million. Although he began the 2024/25 season between the first team and Barça B where he played only once he still managed to collect three assists in 10 professional appearances during his debut season in 2023/24.

Lewandowski also attracting offers

Alongside Fort, veteran striker Robert Lewandowski could be heading for the exit. The Polish forward is being heavily pursued by Saudi Arabian clubs, and Barcelona are unlikely to block a transfer if a competitive offer is submitted.

With the club looking to adjust its wage bill and inject funds for future signings, departures like Fort and Lewandowski could play a key role in the team’s long-term planning under Flick.
