Fluminense keeps its dream alive of lifting the Club World Cup trophy. In a thrilling quarter-final this Friday (4), Tricolor defeated Al-Hilal 2-1, with the winning goal scored by Hércules, who was deservedly named “Craque do Jogo.”

The 24-year-old midfielder found the net in the second half, putting Fluminense back in front and securing a place in the tournament’s semi-finals. Recognized by FIFA, Hércules was awarded the “Superior Man of the Match” for his decisive performance.

Hércules has emerged as one of the key players in Fluminense’s historic campaign. In the previous knockout match against Inter Milan, he also scored the second goal for Renato Gaúcho’s side, ensuring a calmer finish to the match.

Important Signing

Hércules arrived at Fluminense as the club’s first signing for the 2025 season. Coming from Fortaleza, he signed a five-year contract after Tricolor acquired 70% of his economic rights for R$29 million.

Since joining, the midfielder has played 32 matches and scored three goals two of them in crucial knockout games of this Club World Cup.

Fluminense now prepares for the semi-final next Tuesday (8), at 4 p.m. (Brasília time), at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, against the winner of Palmeiras vs Chelsea.
