Fluminense Loses Two Players for Club World Cup Semi-Final; Check Out Who’s Suspended

Fluminense secured a place in the Club World Cup semi-finals but will have important absences for the next stage. Midfielder Martinelli, who scored one of the goals in the 2-1 victory over Al Hilal, and defender Freytes are both suspended and unavailable for the semi-final clash.
Additionally, there is concern over right-back Samuel Xavier, who left the field on Friday (4) complaining of pain in his thigh. His condition will be reassessed in the coming days.
The rest of the squad, who had been at risk of suspension, are cleared to play.
Fluminense will now face the winner of Palmeiras vs. Chelsea a match scheduled for Friday night (4). The Club World Cup semi-final takes place next Tuesday (8), at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
