Dembélé is honest and points out whether PSG is the big favorite in the Club World Cup

Paris Saint-Germain may be the bookmakers’ favorite, but Ousmane Dembélé is keeping things real.
The French winger, one of PSG’s key players and a top candidate for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, made it clear in a recent interview: the Club World Cup is no walk in the park.
Dembélé Keeps It Humble
“I think we are one of the favorites in this World Cup, but we have to remember that, at the end of the day, what matters is what happens in the 90 minutes.”
Despite PSG’s strong form three wins in four matches Dembélé warned against overconfidence.
“Remember Botafogo”
Dembélé also brought up PSG’s surprise group stage loss to Botafogo, the only defeat the French side has suffered in the tournament:
“We saw what happened in the match against Botafogo. Anything can happen, so we have to always stay focused and concentrated.”
That match served as a wake-up call for Luis Enrique’s squad a reminder that even giants can fall.

Real Madrid or Dortmund Await
If PSG beats Bayern and Real Madrid defeats Borussia Dortmund, we could see a blockbuster semifinal with Kylian Mbappé possibly facing his former club.
Mbappé left PSG this season after choosing not to renew his contract and joining Real Madrid. That potential reunion would be.
