Chelsea isn’t content with just João Pedro and offers €70 million for Kenan Yildiz

Blues continue attacking reinforcement spree after João Pedro and Gittens signings
Chelsea has submitted a €70 million offer to Juventus in a bid to sign Kenan Yildiz, one of Serie A’s rising stars. The 20-year-old Turkish international is seen as a priority target as the London club accelerates its search for high-profile attacking reinforcements for the 2024/25 European season.
Juventus Rejects Chelsea’s €70M Bid
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and Fichajes, Juventus has turned down the offer, making it clear they have no intention of selling Yildiz at this stage. The club sees him as a pillar of their future project and has begun preparing a contract extension with improved wages to fend off interest from European giants.
Yildiz, whose current deal runs until mid-2027, is reportedly at the center of Juventus’ long-term plans and is expected to receive an official renewal proposal in the coming weeks.
Yildiz’s Meteoric Rise at Juventus
Kenan Yildiz made his professional debut in the 2023/24 season and quickly made a name for himself as one of Serie A’s most promising young attackers. In 52 matches last season, he recorded 12 goals and 7 assists, a significant jump from his 4-goal debut season.
The Turkish forward has become indispensable in Juventus’s rotation, and his performances have drawn attention from clubs across Europe, including the Premier League.
Chelsea Still Active in Transfer Market
Chelsea has already secured the signings of João Pedro, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Liam Delap, but the Blues are not slowing down. With João Pedro delivering standout performances, including in the recent FIFA Club World Cup, the club wants to bolster its attacking depth further.
In addition to Yildiz, Chelsea is reportedly close to signing RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons, with talks said to be in an advanced stage.
