Bayern Munich targets Brazilian duo amid transfer window pressure

Breno Bidon and Kaio Jorge on Bavarians’ radar as Corinthians look to cash in

Bayern Munich are intensifying their scouting efforts in Brazil, with midfielder Breno Bidon of Corinthians and striker Kaio Jorge emerging as primary targets during the ongoing transfer window. The German giants are prioritizing young talent as part of their long-term strategy.

According to Rádio Itatiaia, Corinthians are open to selling Bidon, with an asking price between €10 million and €15 million. The 20-year-old has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Arsenal, but Bayern are believed to be the most proactive at the moment.

Financial crisis forces Corinthians’ hand

Corinthians are facing mounting financial pressure and are keen to generate income through player sales. Bidon, once one of the club’s most promising academy products, is now viewed as expendable due to a dip in form.

The club had previously valued the midfielder higher, but the €10–15 million price tag reflects his recent decline and the urgency to balance the books. The decision has sparked backlash among fans, many of whom are frustrated with the club’s repeated sales of young talent at below-market value.

Bayern’s interest goes beyond Bidon

Bayern are not limiting their Brazilian ambitions to Bidon. The Bavarians have also shown interest in Kaio Jorge, currently playing for Cruzeiro. While no official bid has been made, representatives from Bayern have already approached the striker’s entourage.

Cruzeiro are reportedly willing to sell Kaio Jorge for around €25 million, though negotiations remain at an early stage.

Bayern prioritizing major signing from Liverpool

Despite keeping tabs on the Brazilian duo, Bayern Munich’s top priority this window remains Liverpool winger Luis Díaz. The Bundesliga champions are preparing a substantial bid of €75 million to secure the Colombian international’s services, which could affect the club’s flexibility for additional acquisitions.

Bidon’s current form and contract

Breno Bidon, under contract with Corinthians until December 2029, has made 30 appearances this season, scoring once and providing a single assist. Though his recent form has cooled, Bayern believe his potential remains intact and are monitoring the situation closely.
