19-year-old PSG star makes history in Champions League final win over Inter Milan
Désiré Doué has officially been named the Man of the Match for the 2025 UEFA Champions League final, after a stunning performance in Paris Saint-Germain’s historic 5-0 victory over Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The 19-year-old midfielder was awarded the PlayStation® Player of the Match trophy by UEFA’s Technical Observers, following a night to remember. Doué became the first player under 20 to score twice in a Champions League final, netting PSG’s second and third goals and also providing an assist for Achraf Hakimi’s opener.
UEFA praises Doué’s maturity and impact
“Two goals and an assist in a UEFA Champions League final at just 19 is incredible,” said UEFA’s Technical Observers. “He played with unbelievable maturity, was unselfish in setting up Hakimi for the opening goal, and also worked hard in defence.”
Doué himself was speechless after the final whistle:
“I have no words. It was just incredible for me, just incredible.”
His performance helped PSG lift their first-ever Champions League trophy, marking a new era for the club and for French football. With his composure, intelligence, and impact, Doué has firmly established himself as one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
