Darwin Nunez wants to play for Napoli and Liverpool are asking for a millionaire sum for his sale

Uruguayan striker gives green light to Serie A transfer, but Reds won’t let him go cheap
The Darwin Núñez transfer saga is heating up this summer, and the striker’s preferred destination is clear: he wants to play for Napoli. But while the player is ready to make the move, Liverpool have placed a steep asking price that could complicate negotiations.
Player Wants Napoli Move, Says Romano
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Darwin Núñez has already communicated that Napoli is his priority. The 25-year-old Uruguayan is said to be excited about a move to Serie A and working under new manager Antonio Conte, who views him as a key piece in Napoli’s rebuild.

Liverpool’s Demands: Over €70 Million
However, Liverpool are not willing to sell cheap. Per The Mirror, the Premier League club has rejected an offer of €41 million plus bonuses and made it clear they will only consider bids in the €60–70 million range, including fixed bonuses.
That’s equivalent to R$526 million a figure that Napoli’s board considers excessive, especially given the striker’s inconsistency last season.
Negotiations Continue Behind the Scenes
Despite the gap in valuations, talks between the clubs are expected to continue in the coming weeks. Liverpool, under new manager Arne Slot, are open to offloading Núñez as they target Sporting striker Viktor Gyökeres as a replacement.
Napoli, meanwhile, remain hopeful of reaching a deal, possibly by improving the bonus structure rather than raising the fixed transfer fee.
