United fails to recover and loses to the ASEAN All Stars
Playing with several starters, Rúben Amorim’s team fell to a team of Southeast Asian players.

Manchester United continues to struggle. Rúben Amorim ‘s team lost 1-0 on Wednesday in a friendly against the ASEAN All-Stars , a team comprised of stars from various Southeast Asian leagues.
The Red Devils, who ended a dismal year in the Premier League by defeating Aston Villa 2-0 , had several starters in their starting eleven, including Maguire, Casemiro, Mainoo and Hojlund .
For the second half, Amorim made several changes, including Alejandro Garnacho , who, despite the strong clash he had with his coach after the Europa League final against Tottenham, ended up making the trip to Malaysia and playing what was possibly his last game with the club.
In a rather stifling climate in Kuala Lumpur , Manchester United failed to win the friendly match and ended up losing to the ASEAN All Stars, who achieved an unexpected victory thanks to a goal scored by Godwill Kukoni.
The Old Trafford team closed out a rather dark year with a defeat in Asia, in which they posted their worst numbers in Premier League history after finishing fifteenth in the English Premier League and with the painful defeat against Tottenham in the Europa League final played at San Mamés.
