Real Sociedad beats Girona in the penultimate round of Laliga
Mariezkurrena, one of their last debutants, scored the winning goal almost at the end, in a fun match with so many local players from Marín and Oyarzabal, and visitors from Stuani and Portu

Imanol Alguacil was able to say goodbye to Anoeta with a smile, as he was able to add to the gold and diamond badge he received with a 3-2 victory for his Real Sociedad against Girona , thanks to the final goal by Arkaitz Mariezkurrena, one of the last young players he has given his debut.
Girona had the first chance , a weak and deflected shot from Iván Martín , but Real reacted in the best possible way because, after a right-footed shot from Barrenetxea that did not go into the top corner due to a spectacular handball from Krapyvtsov , Pablo Marín headed the subsequent corner taken by Brais Méndez into the back of the visitors’ net.
On the 28th, one of the many youth players making their debut during his time at the club, he went straight to embrace the Orio native. Oyarzabal was close to scoring the second right away , but Francés put his head in to prevent the home captain from extending the lead, something Michel’s team appreciated, as Stuani equalized in the next move .
The back-and-forth game continued and, after a dubious penalty by Asprilla on Kubo , Oyarzabal put Real ahead again. A subsequent penalty by Francés on the Japanese player , who had previously been denied by Krapyvtsov, looked more clear. Tsygankov had a chance to equalise and Zubeldia had a chance to extend their lead , but neither of them were able to do so. Krapyvtsov denied Kubo again, before the Ukrainian goalkeeper easily blocked another header from Oyarzabal just before half-time.
Mariezkurrena, more decisive than Portu
Iván Martín had a chance to make it 2-2 as soon as he came out of the locker room , but Remiro held him off well in the one-on-one and rejected his attempt at a chip shot, the player from Cascante once again shining against the Girona number 23, rejecting another good shot of his, confirming that Michel’s team were better. Imanol made moves on the bench and managed to get his team to regain the initiative but, on a counterattack, in one of his first balls just after coming on, if not the first, Portu equalised , scoring into an empty net after a great assist from Tsygankov, the much-loved former txuriurdin player apologising for forgiveness, for which he received applause from the stands.
Another player who had just come on, Turrientes, missed out on a brilliant goal by inches. The number 22 persisted, but again narrowly missed out, as did Asprilla from a direct free kick.
Imanol brought on Mariezkurrena in desperation , and one of his last debutants thanked him with the winning goal just before the final whistle.
