Liverpool car crash suspect arrested on attempted murder and drug charges

British police said Tuesday that the suspect in the multiple car crash that occurred yesterday in Liverpool following the Liverpool team’s Premier League title parade , a 53-year-old British man , was arrested on suspicion of “attempted murder and dangerous driving and drug-impaired driving.”
Speaking to the media, Merseyside Police Deputy Chief Constable Jenny Sims said that NHS England said 50 people were treated in hospital following the attack , with 11 remaining in stable condition.
Authorities are conducting a “thorough investigation” to clarify the incident, although they have ruled out a terrorist motive.
