Charles III and Camilla after the Liverpool car crash: “We are deeply shocked and saddened.”
The Royal Family of the United Kingdom issued a statement regarding the tragedy that occurred during the Premiership celebrations.

The King and Queen of the United Kingdom, Charles III and Camilla , said on Tuesday that the multiple car accident that occurred on Monday in Liverpool (northwest of England) and left 47 injured , is ” truly devastating ,” according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.
“My wife (Camila) and I are deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the terrible events that took place in Liverpool on Monday,” the monarch said of the incident that occurred during Liverpool’s Premier League title celebrations.
” It is truly devastating to see what should have been a joyful celebration end in such distressing circumstances ,” added Charles III, who is on an official visit to Canada with Camilla. He also thanked the emergency services for their work and response and offered a few words to the people of Liverpool during this “heartbreaking” time. “I know that the strength of the community spirit for which your city is known will be a comfort and support to those who need it,” he concluded.
Likewise, the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate , expressed their sadness over what happened on social media with a message signed with their initials (W & C) . “We are incredibly saddened by the scenes yesterday in Liverpool. What should have been a joyous celebration ended in tragedy. Our thoughts are with those who were injured, the first responders, and the emergency services on the ground,” they said.
The multiple car crash , which occurred on Monday afternoon in the city in northwest England, left 47 people injured , four of whom were children, and two of whom suffered serious injuries.
Merseyside Police, which is investigating, arrested a 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area on the spot. It later said the incident was isolated and not being treated as terrorism , but continued its investigation into the cause of the incident.
