Internazionale beats Como in Serie A, but comes second in the Italian Championship
The Nerazzurri team also needed Napoli to stumble, but their opponent’s victory prevented any chance of winning the championship twice

The Inter Milanis the Italian runner-up. This Friday (23), the team beat Como 2-0 away from home, in a duel of the 38th and final round of the Italian Championship. De Vrij and Correa scored the winning goals, but the result was not enough to win the national championship for the second time.
This is because, in addition to the victory, Inter needed a stumble from Naplesagainst Cagliari. The team from Naples won the duel at home and was crowned champion, leaving the Nerazzurri in second place. They had 82 points against 81 at the end of the competition.
The victory against Como, by the way, was not without any major scares. De Vrij opened the scoring with a header after just 20 minutes, and shortly before half-time, goalkeeper Pepe Reina was sent off by the home team.
After VAR analysis, the Spaniard was shown a red card for a tackle outside the area against Taremi, who tried to dribble and was brought down. Thus ended the last game of the 42-year-old goalkeeper’s career, who announced his retirement from football.
After the break, Correa extended the lead with a good play in the box. Inter remained dominant throughout the match, even though they had an extra player. However, Napoli’s victory confirmed the team’s second place.
