Everything is the same at Beira-Rio!

Internacional and Mirassol drew 1-1 on Sunday night in the ninth round of the Brazilian Championship, at the Beira-Rio stadium, in Porto Alegre.

Leão opened the scoring seven minutes into the first half with Jemmes, and Colorado equalized in the 31st minute of the second half with a goal from Ricardo Mathias.

The home team had several chances to win, but were thwarted by a good performance from goalkeeper Walter.

How does it look?

Internacional adds its 10th point, drops two positions in the table and remains in 15th place, just one point above Grêmio, which opens the relegation zone of the Brasileirão.

Mirassol, in turn, reaches 11 points and remains in 12th place in the competition.

Agenda

For the tenth round of the Brasileirão, the two teams return to the field next weekend. On Saturday, at 6:30 pm, Mirassol visits São Paulo at the Morumbis stadium, in the capital of São Paulo.

The following day, on Sunday, at 4pm, Inter will play away against Sport at Ilha do Retiro, in Recife. Before that, on Thursday, at 7pm, Internacional will visit Maracanã for the second leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil.

First half

Internacional started off strong and hit the post after just two minutes. João Victor made a mistake with Alan Patrick’s pass, Richardo Mathias gave it a light touch, but the ball capriciously hit the post.

Shortly after, Mirassol not only reacted, but also opened the scoring. Jemmes took advantage of Reinaldo’s cross and made it 1-0 for the visitors. Gabriel had the chance to score the second in the 12th minute, but the ball deflected and went close to Anthoni’s post.

After that, Colorado went in search of an equalizer and dominated almost all of the following offensive actions. At 21, Bernabéi tried from afar, but the ball went just wide. Two minutes later, Danielzinho had a good opportunity for Leão, but headed over.

After that, it was all Inter. At 32, Alan Patrick took a low shot, and goalkeeper Walter saved it. The best chance for the Gauchos came in injury time, at 49 minutes. Wesley pedaled, cut past the marker and hit a bomb against Walter’s crossbar, keeping the score at 1-0 for the São Paulo team, at the end of the first 51 minutes.

Second half

Internacional dominated the second half almost completely. Goalkeeper Walter was the star of Mirassol and saved the team on several occasions. This was the case with shots from Bruno Henrique (11 minutes), Ricardo Mathias (14′), Bernabéi (29′) and Ricardo Mathias (31′).

In the following minute, at 32, Ricardo Mathias finally managed to beat the opposing goalkeeper. After a great pass from Vitão, the number 49 controlled the ball beautifully and scored the equalizer.

Walter saved Leão again in the 34th and 35th minutes from shots by Ronaldo and Óscar Romero. In the 36th minute, Gustavo Prado managed to turn the score around for Colorado, but VAR disallowed the goal due to Lucca being offside in the middle of the area.

The last big chance of the night fell to Mirassol, with a free kick from Reinaldo that went close to the crossbar but wide, ensuring the score at 1-1.
