Heidenheim stays in the league and ends Elversberg’s dream in the 95th minute
They will not be relegated thanks to the Play Out

Agonizing end to the season in Germany. Bundesliga side Heidenheim managed to retain their league status on Monday after beating second-division side Elversberg 2-1 with a last-minute (95th) goal from Brazilian Leo Scienza. In the second leg of the German promotion play-offs, the tie ended 4-3.
Elversberg is thus on the verge of its first Bundesliga season in its history, having risen from the fourth to the second division in just four years under Horst Steffen.
The only promotions to the first division were confirmed : Cologne and Hamburg , while Bochum and Holstein Kiel were relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga.
The first team took the lead in the first minutes of the match (m.9) thanks to the goal from the Austrian Mathias Honsak in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the reaction of the home team was not long in coming, because Robin Fellhauer tied the match for Elvesberg in the 31st minute after replicating the play that had made it 0-1.
The second half began with a lively home side, whose 2-1 lead was ruled out (47th minute) for offside, and who dominated possession and the play. However, a cruel fate awaited Elversberg, as with 10 seconds left (95th minute), Leo Scienza made a stellar save to make it 2-1 after a superb solo effort, keeping Heidenheim in the Bundesliga.
