BOLOGNA CHAMPION!
The end of a 51-year wait without any national achievements! Bologna beat Milan 1-0 this Wednesday to win the 2024/25 Italian Cup. The grand final was played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and was decided by striker Ndoye, who scored the only goal of the match, eight minutes into the second half.
END OF LONG WAIT!
Bologna are champions of a major tournament in Italy for the first time since 1974. Since then, the Italian team’s only achievement had been the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1998, as well as one Serie C and two editions of the Italian Serie B. Bologna, who have already been champions of the Italian Championship seven times, are crowned three-time champions of the Italian Cup.
