Mamardashvili ‘warns’ Alisson: “I’m going to Liverpool to be number one”
Georgian goalkeeper to move to Anfield in 2025/2026
Giorgi Mamardashvili will join Liverpool ‘s squad for the 2025/2026 season and will face tough competition from Alisson Becker . The Georgian goalkeeper, who cost the Reds around 35 million euros, is aiming to be a starter at Anfield.
“I’m going to Liverpool to be number one, I’m going to compete to be a starter. I’m going to train as best I can and I don’t know what they’re going to decide. I don’t decide who plays and who doesn’t,” said the goalkeeper, quoted by Marca .
Giorgi Mamardashvili has played 24 games this season for Valencia , where he has been since 2021/2022.
The team , which includes Thierry Correia and André Almeida , is in 16th place in LaLiga , with 28 points.
