Eriksen honoured for 300 Premier League appearances
The 33-year-old Danish midfielder reacted as follows: “It’s the benefit of what I’ve done and what I’ve achieved.”

Christian Eriksen , who suffered a cardiac arrest on June 12, 2021 while playing for Denmark against Finland in the European Championship, was recognized for his 300th Premier League appearance , something he thought would be difficult to achieve.
The 33-year-old midfielder made 226 appearances for Tottenham between 2013 and 2020, 11 for Brentford , when he returned to play in 2022 after undergoing heart surgery, and 63 for Manchester United .
Speaking to the Red Devils’ media outlets, Eriksen does not hide his pride in what he has achieved in English football: “It has been fun with all the different challenges, with different styles of play from different coaches, different players.”
At the end of his contract, the Dane will not continue at Old Trafford, leaving on a free transfer, and a possible return to Ajax has already been reported .
Still on the distinction he received, after being launched by Ruben Amorim in the game against Crystal Palace, Eriksen highlighted: «I would say that, after I left Spurs to go to Italy, I thought I would never return to the Premier League, this is also a sign of how things change quickly in football.»
Eriksen is the Danish player with the most goals in the history of the Premier League , with 54 goals, and is 12th on the list of all-time assists, behind David Beckham, with three fewer assists.
“If you look at all those numbers, I would say it’s the benefit of what I’ve done and what I’ve achieved,” he said.
