Serie A: Forward gets two yellow cards in one minute as Lazio drops points again
Tchaouna’s blunder left the home team, which included Nuno Tavares, reduced to 10 men; Como, led by Fàbregas, took advantage and managed to equalise
Lazio and Como drew (1-1) in the game that opened the 20th round of Serie A.
Cesc Fàbregas was forced to make a change after just 20 minutes. Nico Paz was injured and was replaced by Assane Diao.
Lazio , SC Braga ‘s opponents in the Europa League , opened the scoring in the 34th minute. Guendouzi assisted Boulaye Dia , who, with his left foot , inside the penalty area, shot into the back of the net.
In the second half, a mistake by Tchaouna left the home team reduced to 10 men. The forward was shown a yellow card in the 57th minute, and, a minute later, he made another hard tackle on an opponent and received a second yellow card and a subsequent red card.
It was with Nuno Tavares on the pitch – he came on in the 60th minute – that Lazio conceded the equaliser. Strefezza crossed from the right and Cutrone headed in to make it 1-1.
Lazio have dropped points for the third game in a row – two draws and a defeat in the derby against Roma – and are now on 36 points, with fourth place at risk. Como have 19 points and are in 15th place.
