Real Madrid defeats Deportiva Minera and advances in the Copa del Rey
Merengues won without difficulty.
The Real Madrid secured their place in the round of 16 on Monday afternoon after comfortably beating Deportiva Minera 5-0 in a match played at the home of the fourth division club in Spanish football.
In a match in which the clear superiority of the merengues was demonstrated, the match was almost decided in the first half with goals from Federico Valverde (5′), Camavinga (13′) and Arda Guler (28′).
The score grew during the second half with a precise shot from Modric in the 55th minute. Turkish Guler scored twice to secure the final result (88′).
All things considered, Real Madrid are the penultimate team to secure a place in the next phase of the Copa del Rey. The only team missing is Eldense-Valencia, which will be played on Tuesday, to complete the list of teams that have qualified for the round of 16 of the competition.
