Man. United squad asked for time off but birthday boy Amorim has other plans
Coach celebrates 40 years today and will spend the day working with the players who did not play in the victory against Fulham

Ruben Amorim received an early gift from his players: the victory (1-0) against Marco Silva’s Fulham, but that is not enough to satisfy the Portuguese coach who is celebrating his 40th birthday today.
Manchester United players asked for time off and the former Sporting coach’s response was: training.
“There is a lot to improve. It is my birthday and my present is to work with the players who did not play, because there is a lot to improve. It will be a fantastic day because we won and because I will be doing what I love most, at our club and, at the end of the day, I will have dinner with my children,” he said with a smile to the press of Manchester United, who now occupy 12th place in the Premier League.
