The alarm is ringing again at Real Madrid , due to a new injury in the squad, now even more affecting Vinícius Júnior .

The Brazilian international is struggling with a biceps femoris injury in his left leg, according to the medical report released by the club. The note does not reveal the expected length of his absence, but the Spanish press reports that it will be around a month.

The player himself has already commented on the injury on social media, pointing out someone to blame: «The crazy calendar…….. recovering!»

Vinícius Júnior played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid ‘s win at Leganés on Sunday. It was his third full game in the space of ten days, having previously played the full game for Brazil against Venezuela (away) and Uruguay (home).

The forward is likely to miss the games against Liverpool , Getafe , Athletic , Girona , Atalanta and Rayo Vallecano . Real Madrid expect him to be fit to play in the Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar on December 18 (opponent yet to be determined).

The Merengue team has 18 games in the current season and Vinícius Júnior participated in all of them. He just didn’t start in the sixth round of the League, against Espanyol (he played 35 minutes, and also scored a goal and an assist). He has played 1523 minutes on the field, out of a total of 1620.
