Premier League to generate €7.5 billion in revenue this season
The English league continues to be the most profitable championship in Europe
The Premier League is expected to generate around €7.477m in revenue this season, remaining the most profitable football league in Europe, well ahead of rivals in Germany, Spain, Italy and France, according to a recent study by consultancy Deloitte.
According to Deloitte’s annual football finance report, the English league generated €6.967m in 2022/23, rising to €7.048m in 2023/24, and is expected to reach almost €7.5bn in 2024/25.
By comparison, the Bundesliga comes in second, with revenues of €3.8 billion last year and a projection of €3.9 billion for this season. It is followed by La Liga , which generated €3.6 billion in 2023/24 and is expected to reach €3.8 billion in 2024/25.
Serie A and Ligue 1 are also on the list, with significantly lower figures: €2.8 billion and €2.9 billion for the Italian league and €2.4 billion and €2.6 billion for the French league, according to the study carried out by experts Josep Santfeliu and Martí Garcia Pons.
