IS YAMAL MISSING?
This is Barcelona’s second game without a win, after a streak of seven wins. In the last round, Hansi Flick and company were defeated by Real Sociedad, 1-0. In both matches, the Spanish team did not have Lamine Yamal , due to an injury to his right ankle. The physical problem arose in the match against Red Star, in the Champions League, and also ruled the striker out of the Nations League with Spain.
HOW WAS THE GAME?
Celta put pressure on from the start of the match, but it was Barcelona who took the lead on the scoreboard. In the 14th minute, Koundé sent a long ball straight into the penalty area. The defense couldn’t believe the play, it bounced and ended up with Raphinha . He carried the ball, dribbled past Mingueza and shot into the corner. Still in the first half, Lewandowski made a stunning lob over the goalkeeper, but the play was disallowed for offside at the start of the play.
The Polish striker himself extended the lead shortly after half-time, after Raphinha stole the ball. Lewandowski received the ball entering the area, beat the marker and made no mistake in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. But, in the final stretch, Barcelona got in trouble. At 35, Casadó was sent off for a second yellow card and five minutes later Celta equalized. The first goal was due to a mistake by Koundé that left Alfon González free in front of goal. And the second came from a great individual play by Hugo Álvarez.
