Striker Vitor Roque scored his first goal for Betis this Friday . It was at the end of the game against Leganés, in the 5th round of La Liga 2024/25 . Betis won the match played at home, at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, by 2-0.
Betis’ first goal came in the 28th minute of the second half. A play from the right, in which the full-back and captain Bellerín invaded the area and touched the ball back. Number 10 Abde Ezzalzouli arrived quickly at the ball and finished.
Abde Ezzalzouli also had a hand in the second goal, which came in the 41st minute of the second half. He advanced to the edge of the Leganés penalty area and struck a well-placed shot, aiming for the corner.
The goalkeeper gave a rebound, and Vitor Roque showed a quick reaction: he took advantage and threw himself at the ball. His first goal since February 3rd of this year, when he scored in Barcelona ‘s 3-1 victory over Alavés.
Barça spent practically the entire last transfer window trying to negotiate a deal with Vitor Roque, who failed to gain a place in the squad even after the arrival of coach Hansi Flick. In the end, he ended up being loaned to Betis until the end of the current season.
