Manchester City sets price for João Cancelo
The Portuguese full-back is on loan from the ‘citizens’ to Barcelona, but his relationship with the English club should end next season
The divorce between João Cancelo and Manchester City seems increasingly certain and, therefore, the current English champion has already set a price at which he is willing to get rid of the Portuguese full-back.
There is no option to repeat the loan that took Cancelo to Barcelona this season and, as such, a possible departure will be permanent.
According to news from RELEVO , the ‘auction’ for the former Benfica player will begin as soon as the season ends. The player’s current purchase option is €75 million, however, Manchester City does not expect to reach these values, so offers of around €40 and €50 million will probably be enough to remove Cancelo from the club.
The same source also states that it is not just Barcelona that is in the race for João Cancelo . The Catalan club is already preparing an offer of €30 million for the full-back, but will have competition from an old acquaintance of the player, Bayern , who have also shown interest in returning to Cancelo, who, record-breakingly, has already played for the club in the 2022 season. /23.
