Ederson returns for the decisive phase of the season

Pep Guardiola announced, this Friday, the return of Ederson, former Benfica goalkeeper, to the pitch. The Brazilian goalkeeper was injured in March, in the game at Anfield, against Liverpool, after a clash with Darwin Núñez, but could return to the citizens ‘ goal in the duel with Crystal Palace, scheduled for Saturday.

In recent games, the goal has been handed over to Stefan Ortega, the usual substitute, but Ederson should once again take the place for the decisive phase of the season. Manchester City is three points behind Liverpool’s leadership in the Premier League and, next Tuesday, they begin the fight for a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabéu, against Real Madrid, proof of which is the current holder.
