De Bruyne is honored in the last home game with a mosaic
Athlete was substituted 24 minutes into the second half, after Kovacic was sent off

Manchester City beat Bournemouth 3-1, but Kevin De Bruyne was the star of the show on Tuesday night. The Belgian, who will not have his contract renewed, received many tributes in his last match at the Etihad Stadium. Even before the ball started rolling, he had already been celebrated by the club inside the City training center.
On the pitch at the Etihad Stadium, the club displayed an image of De Bruyne’s face next to a crown and the words ” King Kev”.
Earlier, Manchester City owner Khaldoon Al Mubarak paid tribute to KDB with a mosaic and street name inside the club’s training ground.
In the stands, numerous fans were filmed wearing masks with De Bruyne’s image. A giant mosaic was erected and several flags alluding to the star were displayed.
Missed goal early on
The farewell was marked by great emotion, the presence of his three sons and non-stop shouts of “Hey, Kevin de Bruyne”. The only thing that wasn’t perfect from a sporting perspective was that the star missed an incredible chance at the start of the match, in the 24th minute. Marmoush made an excellent cross, and the Belgian, completely free, hit the crossbar.
In the 24th minute, Kevin de Bruyne also had his participation on the field shortened due to the expulsion of Kovacic, who had to stop Evanílson as the last man after a completely wrong pass back by Gvardiol.
