Aston Villa thrashes Newcastle and fights for G4 in the Premier League

Aston Villa bounced back from their Champions League exit to PSG to beat Newcastle 4-1 at Villa Park on Saturday. Unai Emery’s side opened the scoring in the first minute of the game through Watkins. Schär equalised in the 18th minute. In the second half, Maatsen, Burn’s own goal and Onana rounded off the scoring.
THE FIGHT FOR CHAMPIONS HAS BEEN MIXED UP
With the win, Aston Villa temporarily overtook Chelsea to move into sixth place with 57 points, two behind third-placed Newcastle. In the next round, Villa visit Manchester City, while the Magpies host Ipswich Town.
