Juventus are reportedly preparing a move to bring Joshua Zirkzee back to Serie A, with the Dutch forward struggling to find his rhythm at Manchester United.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the “Old Lady” has identified Zirkzee as the ideal candidate to bolster their attacking frontline. Following a failed pursuit of Youssef En-Nesyri, Juventus manager Thiago Motta is keen on a reunion with the striker who flourished under his guidance at Bologna.

A Tactical Move for Thiago Motta

Zirkzee’s arrival in Turin would provide much-needed competition for Dušan Vlahović and Jonathan David (a long-term Juve target). The Dutchman’s ability to act as a “nine-and-a-half”—dropping deep to link play is exactly what Motta’s system currently lacks.

  • Target: Joshua Zirkzee (Manchester United)
  • Status: Out of favor at Old Trafford.
  • Juve Strategy: Potential loan with an option to buy.
  • Alternative Goal: Federico Chiesa (Liverpool).

In a sensational twist, reports suggest Juventus are also monitoring Federico Chiesa’s situation at Liverpool. Having struggled for game time in the Premier League, a return to Turin is no longer being ruled out. The Italian giants are looking to rebuild their squad with familiar faces who understand the weight of the Bianconeri shirt.

Manchester United’s Stance

While United invested heavily in Zirkzee last summer, the emergence of Rasmus Højlund and potential new arrivals has limited his minutes. The Red Devils may be open to a transfer to recoup funds, provided Juventus can meet their valuation or agree on a structured deal.
