La Liga accepts registration, and Barcelona can debut Roony Bardghji against Valencia

Barcelona has received a green light from La Liga to register new signing Roony Bardghji, opening the door for the Swedish forward to feature in the clash against Valencia on September 14.
La Liga approves Bardghji’s registration
According to Sport, the Spanish league accepted the paperwork submitted by Barça, making Bardghji eligible for first-team action. La Liga’s corporate director Javier Gómez explained that while youth players can be promoted, the process must comply with financial fair play regulations.
“If a player is young and meets the economic requirements, there’s no problem. Clubs must respect the fair play rules applicable to professional teams,” Gómez stated.
Sporting boost for Hansi Flick
Bardghji’s arrival gives coach Hansi Flick another attacking option, especially as Barcelona seeks rotation for Lamine Yamal. Brazilian winger Raphinha has secured a spot on the left but could also cover the right if needed.
The 18-year-old turned down suggestions of being placed in Barça’s B team, stressing:
“I’ve played over 100 professional matches. I wouldn’t accept playing for the B team. That was something made up—it’s not true.”
Injury concerns for Gavi and Balde
Barcelona’s preparations for the match at Mestalla come with setbacks. According to RAC1, Gavi experienced knee pain in training and is doubtful, while left-back Alejandro Balde suffered a hamstring injury and is at serious risk of missing the fixture. The club has yet to provide a recovery timeline.
