Nicolas Jackson frustrates Barcelona and reaches agreement with Bayern Munich

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is set to leave Stamford Bridge after reaching an agreement with Bayern Munich, despite Barcelona’s interest.
Bayern Munich Reach Agreement With Jackson
According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, the 24-year-old Senegalese forward has already agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich. The German giants now need to finalize negotiations with Chelsea, with the transfer expected to take place on a loan deal.
Barcelona had also been in contact for Jackson, but the Catalans have been overtaken in the race. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany sees the striker as a valuable rotational option to ease the workload on Harry Kane.
Chelsea’s Attack Reinforcements Force Exit
Jackson joined Chelsea two seasons ago and recorded 13 goals and six assists in 37 matches during the 2024/25 season. Despite his contributions, he has slipped down the pecking order after the arrivals of João Pedro and Liam Delap, both preferred by manager Enzo Maresca.
With Chelsea continuing to reshape their attack, Jackson’s departure looks inevitable.
Chelsea Still Pushing for Xavi Simons
Meanwhile, Chelsea remain focused on strengthening their midfield. The London club is working to complete the signing of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, but will need to move players out before making the deal official. One possible departure could be Christopher Nkunku, whose future remains uncertain.
