Juventus beat Parma in Serie A opener with goals from David and Vlahović

Juventus began their 2025/26 Serie A campaign with a commanding 2-0 victory over Parma on Sunday at the Allianz Stadium, thanks to second-half goals from Jonathan David and Dušan Vlahović.
Champions start strong
The reigning Italian champions, seeking consistency after years of turbulence since their nine-title streak (2011–2020), showed early signs of authority. Juventus dominated possession, controlling nearly 70% of the ball, and peppered the visitors’ goal with 25 attempts, compared to just seven from Parma.
David breaks the deadlock
After a frustrating first half in which Parma’s defensive block held firm, Canadian striker Jonathan David finally broke through. Latching onto a quick combination inside the box, he coolly slotted past Chichizola to give Juve the lead shortly after the interval.
Vlahović seals it
With Parma pushing forward in search of an equalizer, Juventus struck again. In the 78th minute, Serbian forward Dušan Vlahović finished a sweeping counterattack, doubling the lead and ensuring the Bianconeri opened the season with three points.
Signs of a title-ready Juventus
Manager Rúben Amorim’s side looked sharp and confident, pressing high and recycling possession with ease. The win not only puts Juventus among the early leaders but also reinforces expectations that the Turin giants will once again challenge for the Scudetto.
Parma, meanwhile, return to Serie A with a tough but telling test. Despite flashes of resilience, they struggled to keep pace with Juve’s intensity and left empty-handed.
