Manchester United wants to announce Lunin and Real Madrid could speed up the process to sign Pedro Morisco

Manchester United is preparing a formal offer for goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, according to GOAL, as uncertainty grows over the future of André Onana. Real Madrid, meanwhile, could respond by fast-tracking the signing of Brazilian prospect Pedro Morisco from Coritiba.

United Eyes Lunin Amid Onana Exit Rumors

The Red Devils are actively searching for a new goalkeeper before the transfer window closes. Manager Ruben Amorim has identified Lunin as a top target should Onana return to Inter Milan, a move that has resurfaced in recent weeks.

Lunin, who serves as Thibaut Courtois’s backup at Real Madrid, has long sought more consistent playing time. His departure could now align with both United’s needs and Real Madrid’s financial strategy.

Real Madrid Weighs Pedro Morisco Move

If Lunin leaves, Real Madrid may accelerate negotiations for Pedro Morisco, a 19-year-old goalkeeper from Coritiba. According to Defensa Central, the Brazilian is seen as a long-term successor to Courtois and has been under close scouting by the club.

However, competition in Brazil could complicate the transfer. Both Flamengo and Palmeiras are also keen on the player, and Coritiba hopes to secure the biggest sale in its history by holding out for a significant fee.

Madrid Balancing Transfers and Investments

Real Madrid has already invested over R$1 billion in reinforcements this summer under president Florentino Pérez, but the club still seeks outgoing transfers to balance its finances. Lunin, whose future has been uncertain since last year, remains the most likely departure.

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso’s side began their La Liga campaign with a 1-0 lead over Osasuna, thanks to a penalty converted by Kylian Mbappé.
