Chelsea Women announce new signings for the 2025/26 season

Chelsea Women have bolstered their squad with three key signings ahead of the 2025/26 season, as they aim to defend their domestic dominance and chase the elusive Women’s Champions League trophy.
Triple Reinforcement for the Blues
The London club has confirmed the arrivals of:
- Mara Alber – signed from Hoffenheim
- Livia Peng – goalkeeper from Werder Bremen
- Ellie Carpenter – Australian international from Portland Thorns (NWSL)
These additions strengthen Chelsea’s depth in defense, midfield, and goalkeeping, areas head coach Emma Hayes believes will be decisive in European competition.
Domestic Dominance, European Ambition
Chelsea enter the new campaign after a historic treble last season winning the Women’s Super League unbeaten, lifting the FA Cup, and securing the League Cup. Despite their domestic success, the Blues fell short in Europe, losing to Barcelona in the Champions League semifinals.
With the new signings, the squad is aiming to go one step further and claim the club’s first Women’s Champions League title, while maintaining their supremacy in England.
Season Opener Against Manchester City
The Blues will kick off their 2025/26 Women’s Super League campaign in a blockbuster clash against Manchester City on September 5, at 3:30 PM (Brasília time).
