PSG agrees to sell Lucas Beraldo for €30 million and imposes one more condition

French club also demands a replacement signing before allowing the Brazilian defender to leave
Paris Saint-Germain is open to selling Lucas Beraldo this summer but has imposed two key conditions for the transfer to go through. According to L’Équipe, the Ligue 1 champions want €30 million for the 21-year-old Brazilian, but will only approve the sale once they secure a new central defender to reinforce the squad.
Beraldo, who joined PSG from São Paulo FC, is reportedly on the radar of Galatasaray. The Turkish side, active in the transfer market following the arrival of Victor Osimhen, has identified the young centre-back as a potential signing to strengthen manager Okan Buruk’s defensive options.
Poor Club World Cup Campaign Spurs Exit Talks
The decision to consider Beraldo’s exit comes after a disappointing performance at the FIFA Club World Cup. Although the defender featured in five matches and started in the final against Chelsea, he struggled alongside Marquinhos and drew sharp criticism from both fans and media for his lack of positional awareness and weak tackling.
Despite getting consistent minutes during the tournament, Beraldo was singled out as one of PSG’s worst performers, an assessment that has weighed heavily on his future at the club.
Dissatisfaction Growing in Paris
Sources close to the club suggest that Beraldo is growing increasingly dissatisfied with his role under manager Luis Enrique, particularly after his performance in the Club World Cup led to reduced confidence in his long-term prospects in Paris.
While PSG currently have four central defenders in the squad, Luis Enrique is reluctant to thin out the position without bringing in a new signing. The sale of Beraldo is therefore contingent on finalizing a deal for a replacement centre-back.
Galatasaray Prepared to Make a Move
Galatasaray is said to be aware of PSG’s asking price and condition. The Turkish giants are weighing their options, recognizing that Beraldo could be a strategic long-term investment at a relatively young age. The defender is viewed as a player with significant potential who could benefit from regular playing time in the Süper Lig and European competitions.
